Description
As well as splashing around with watercolours, I think I forgot to mention in my profile page that I really really love photography. I have a good quality camera, and I love close-up shots of nature, dewy spider webs, wild flowers and stuff :3
Yesterday I made my own tripod (out of spindly bamboo canes, elastic and my scarf) and, using the ten-minute self timer, had a go at making some basic stock photos with me acting as model. It was good fun, and I really want to do more, though I'm not posting the actual stock photos here on dA till I'm convinced they're presentable XD
Apart from a few drawbacks (really windy weather, photoshooting in the middle of a road at risk of any car coming along mid-shoot, no real prop but a muddy bedsheet and a purple t-shirt, and no real idea of what I'm posing for) I got a few usable photographs, and had fun yesterday using a combo of Gimp and Paint Tool SAI to make up for my lack of Photoshop XD
My dress (or tee & bedsheet ) was originally lilac and white, I had no facial makeup and my hair was totally flat looking.
Meh ... IDK if this is good or not, but it was fun and I haven't posted anything in a while.
I used some stock photographs for the backgrounds --
Silver frame -
Smoke -
Brick texture -
Background (courtyard) -
The stock is ace, people! I love it! Never used stock before, so I hope I'm doing everything correctly.
Model (for the lady and the eyes, I coloured my irids) -
Feel free to leave feedback!

I think it is so cool the way you made your own tripod!!
not only are you an excellent model for your photographs but I love the way you keep your work modest and clean.
